One needs a reprieve from dreary winter days, so we crawled out from under the low clouds that hover in our valley and traveled to where the sun was shining, even if it was only for two days. Ahh, to feel the warmth of those solar rays through the car window and to have to wear sunglasses to shade the glare was a glorious balm to dispel the January doldrums.

Our destination; a beautiful resort with glorious vistas, hot-spring pools and delicious food that met all our needs of rest, relaxation and comfort. I held these warm memories close as we traveled back over the mountains on a rainy, snowy, foggy road to the safety of HOME, where life is good in spite of the weather.
