SPECIAL MILESTONE

Today is a special milestone in the life of my husband Wally as he celebrates 75 years. Now I do believe every year is a milestone, but there are some that are more marked and honored. It has been my absolute joy to be the love of his life for over 50 years and in just 2 months we will celebrate our 50 years of marriage.
But today to honor him I will just give you a small glimpse into his life.

Wally is a man of his word,
is a faithful husband
a loving father to 4 wonderful children
Grampa to 10 super grandchildren
a faithful follower of Jesus Christ
a servant leader
a loyal friend
a hard worker
an eager traveller
a man of few words, but
listen when he speaks
an adventurer
and the list could go on and on.

Wally loves the outdoors, whether paddling alone or
with others on mostly calm waters.
He loves to cycle for fun and also for great fundraisers.

                                                       An adventurer at heart

Wally loves and is loved by his family

Wally loves travelling and feels privileged to have been to countries
he never dreamed of in his earlier days

He advertises Gardom Lake Bible Camp in Mexico

Wally has a love for the Children's homes in Northern India where he went 3 times to serve with work teams under Child of Mine. From framing an addition to the chapel,  trowled a full basketball court by hand, dancing with the kids on a rooftop balcony, learning to sip chai tea and many, many memorable experiences.

Wally loves camping and we have shared
so many adventures for 50 years

Wally does not miss breakfast, lunch or dinner. He's also a pro at barbecuing.

Camping brings solitude to read and watch the clouds sail by, or
to have a daily challenge of Scrabble with me.
He loves a good laugh!

Wally enjoys drop in seniors curling and will be back at it
when the  Covid  pandemic is over.

Until then he will keep enjoying naps ....

and ponder and dream of things to come.

                         HAPPY  75th   BIRTHDAY WALLY
