SNOW WATCH
They said it would happen today
I didn’t believe,
but now with my eyes strained and focused
on the dark green needles of the pine
a drop of rain ... No,
the cold congealed into a shard of white crystal
a snow flake ... Yes!
I saw it, I said it,
I believe.

The day is fading.
The garden is blanketed for the night.
