THE NATIVITY PLAY - TAKE 4

THE CHRISTMAS STAR
Starring 5 enthusiatic grandchildren
Directed by Grampa & Gramma

Long ago the Roman Emperor wanted to count all the people in his kingdom so everyone travelled to their home towns. Joseph and his wife Mary who was going to have a baby very soon had to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

The town was very busy and all the hotel rooms were full.

A kind innkeeper settled Joseph and Mary in his warm stable
which they shared with the farm animals.

That very night Mary's baby boy was born.
They named him Jesus and laid him in a manger.

Out in the field shepherds were watching their sheep when an angel surrounded with a bright light appeared in the sky. The angel told them good news that a Saviour had been born and they could find him in a stable, lying in a manger.

The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem to find the baby.

Joseph and Mary must have been so pleased to
share their good news with their visitors.

Far away from the East some wise men followed
a bright star which stopped right over Bethlehem.

The wise men knew they had found the king that God had sent from heaven. They had found a very special Christmas star, so they gave gifts to Jesus and worshipped him.
THE END

O COME LET US ADORE HIM

This is too funny!! I love seeing the old familiar articles of clothing from all our years growing up - but in entirely new ways! Kyla and Ian make pretty cute Marys, and the angel is positively frightening (true to reality I suppose!). Can't wait to see all these kiddos this week!!
