CELEBRATING LOVE & MEMORIES

Morning dawns and the gulls shriek shrilly as they swoop and soar in the stiff breeze ruffling the frigid waters of Okanagan Lake. Wooden docks creak and bob to the rhythm of white caps slapping their weathered timbers. An early riser jogs along the boardwalk, braving the nippy spring elements.

From the confines of an over sized bed plumped with crisp linens I gaze at this scene through a french door windowscape in this luxurious, heritage, boutique hotel. Beside me the sleeping giant rumbles and snorts in his own world of dreams as I revel in this early morning moment, my heart and mind full of wonderful memories that leak out in words with scribbles and scratches onto a hotel memo pad. Strawberry hulls and rose petal strewn carelessly are a reminder of our celebration - 40 years of love that has only grown deeper and sweeter over the decades.

Our greatest joys and highlights have been the product of this journey of committed love - four beautiful children, who with their spouses generously gifted us with this lovely romance package. Do they imagine what this has meant to us? We started our journey, just the two of us, madly in love and soon this family became part and parcel of our diary of memories. Through the ups and downs of routine family life we always prayed that our marriage would be a testament to the goodness and faithfulness of of God.

Life is good - we are still madly in love. We thank God for our children and their families and pray that they to will one day look back on decades of their own memories together. We are eager with anticipation for our next era to unfold.
CHEERS!

"O my soul, bless God.
From head to toe, I'll bless his holy name!
   O my soul, bless God,
      don't forget a single blessing!

Psalm 103: 1-2
