tiny BURSTS OF SPRING

Spring is definitely dragging her feet, seeming so unsure to step from the chill of winter towards summer's warmth. A nippy breeze had me scurrying through the garden to find these tiny bursts of spring.

A  demitasse of violets cradles tiny lilac buds
with boxwood sprigs.

Forsythia popped open with it's feet in warm water.

 A petite, antique creamer rimmed
   with everlasting pussy willows.

For a friends birthday I decorated this yummy,
lemon cream jelly roll with tiny buttercups.

So any time now Spring,
grace us with more than just your tiny bursts.
