CELEBRATING SPRING

Yesterday marked the first day of spring, a day confused by it's potpourri of weather. The sun shone briefly, it rained, and it snowed, and this pattern repeated itself again today. My morning devotional  titled, 'Thoughts on Rain' made me smile as my plans for the day were to create spring sunshine in my kitchen together with two sweet grandgirlies. They bounced into the house excited to prepare their own batch of confetti cupcakes, cautiously using the electric hand mixer and carefully ladling the batter into the muffin tins till their little hands were weary.  It was such a delightful time of chatter and giggles as we frosted and decorated enough cupcakes to share with family and neighbours who dropped in for tea after supper. It made my heart glad to create a sweet, spring memory.
