HAPPY EASTER

Wherever I travel I see reminders of the central message of Christianity, the cross. On the steeples of churches and cathedrals, in the cross panes of windows and in this simple wooden cross at a drug recovery home overlooking the city of Madrid, the cross reminds us of Jesus sacrifice for each one of us.

He died for our sins and rose again to make us right with God,
 filling us with God’s goodness.
So now, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith in his promises, we can have real peace with him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.  For because of our faith, he has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be.  Romans 4:25 - 5: 2

Christ the Lord is risen today, Hallelujah!

I love this stained glass window in the old church pictured above. The tree reminds me not only of the cross which was cut from a tree, but also a living tree representing Jesus as the vine bearing fruit through us his branches. The lambs remind me of Jesus the perfect lamb who was sacrificed on the tree, and also of followers of Jesus being sheep led by the Good Shepherd.

This is gazing at the ordinary till it becomes extraordinary!
