TULIPS

TULIPS

Simple in form

tightly folded petals

exquisitely explode

revealing their sexiness

like ruffled skirts blown

up in a spring gust.

Vessels for the painters palette

of soft pastels to brilliant bolds

brushed with stripes

or kaleidoscopes in symmetry.

Heads nod toward the light

and weary from their grand display

tulips faint.

Love how you described the beauty of the tulip through your prose and photography.
