Packing up the car in the rain did not thrill our spirits but by the time a few hours had rolled by and we passed through Canada's usual hot spots, Lytton and Lillooet, the sun was shining which made my heart glad. Taking the Duffey Lake Hwy gave us lovely vistas of unspoiled wilderness through the Cayoosh Mountain Range, around each curve in the road as it wound along river canyons like a gray snake slithering down some 13% grades. We took time to stop in at Provincial parks to stretch our legs and to absorb beauty which takes some effort to see. This is a scenic mountain drive well worth taking even if ones equilibrium is challenged by the twists and turns and elevation changes which come in waves, but spectacular beyond what my photos have captured.
