SPRING BREAK AT GRAMMA's HOUSE

Spring break and the teacher's strike are over and so are road trips and spring camp at church. Gramma's house was a hive of activity for a number of days with six grandkids coming and going.
The girls came with plans to have tea with Gramma so we created the setting for high tea one afternoon with freshly baked mini scones and a table set with Great-grandmother's antique china teacups. To add some English charm we fashioned original Facinators, likened to the ones worn at William and Kate's wedding. What fun - what memories!

Grampa and the boys were busy in the 'cave' putting together model sharks and helicopters. Painting was intense, crafted with great pride.

A day at Gramma's house also meant hungry bellies so with the help of two master cheese graters we put together yummy Peters Pizzas.

Were Grampa and Gramma tired at the end of these days? Oh yes, but creating memories with these wonderful grandkids was worth it!

What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance.  They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life.  And, most importantly, cookies.  ~Rudolph Giuliani
