There must have been some frenzied house building while we were away on Father's Day weekend.
It all began days earlier with a little scrap of cellophane which marked the perfect location.
From my breakfast nook window I have crooked my neck to watch the comings and goings and then the settling down and nesting in the maple tree over the past two weeks. Mr and Mrs Robin are becoming quite used to me singing to them from about five feet away. This morning I think I heard the faintest peep and so the excitement builds in nature's sitcom.
.............................................................................................................................................
More exciting than watching love birds in a tree has been the wonderful news of our grandson
Mark's engagement to Cady Gau on June 26th.
We were invited to celebrate that evening together with their parents, grandparents and very close friends in the Gau's picturesque back yard. So much love and excitement.
The little wooden ring box is Mark's creative crafting with an inlaid wooden rose.
June also had the exciting celebration of our grandchildren
Simon and Kyla's (cousins) high school graduation and prom walk.
Father's Day camping at Bear Creek Provincial Park
A proud Dad of four wonderful children and a total clan of 20. It was hard to capture them all in photos. Three grandsons were missing from this picnic.
Granddaughters making friendship bracelets with Bennie who was Ray and Melody's
international student from Germany.
the creek becoming the best place to explore.
My favourite activities were visiting, playing scrabble,
and playing with my paint brush.
and it makes my heart sing.
And so begins July, sitting at home waiting for a date for hip surgery, and
I will welcome more days of excitement as they come along.
