This Easter Sunday morning began with a glorious rendition of Christ the Lord is Risen Today on CBC radio followed by three marvelous pieces from Handel's Messiah; I Know that My Redeemer Lives, Worthy is the Lamb, and Amen. It is so exhilarating when one's heart resonates with the truth of this message.
Easter celebrations continued together with our church family with the joyous greeting, He is Risen, He is risen Indeed as He said.
It truly was a day of joy and celebration as our family came together for dinner which always includes our traditional Paska (Easter bread). Rain showers kept the Easter chocolate hunt confined to the house but that did not dampen anyone's spirits. Later the rain let up enough to allow us a family photo shoot which is an interesting undertaking to say the least, and when the last 'cheezes' had been said, the grandkids were off scampering through the yard to search for dyed eggs under shrubs, in tree trunks and other secret places that Grampa had hidden them in.
Yes, isn't Easter all about Life and Joy?
We have lots of life in these 8 precious grandkids!
We are so blessed!!
