WALK- RUN - CYCLE

An annual event for us on Mother's Day weekend is participating in a fund raiser for our local Bible Camp. This camp has been one of our family's favourite destinations for the past 35 years as we have been there for church camps, extended family winter weekends, retreats, summer camps, summer staff, youth retreats, volunteer work, and the 'Walk - Run - Cycle' fundraiser which took place this past weekend.

Another t-shirt to add to our collection

I am so proud of my husband!
This was the fourth year he cycled 70 Km!!!

And my feet walked 5 Km around the lovely lake.

"There is nothing like walking to get the feel of the country.
A fine landscape is like a piece of music; it must be taken at the right tempo.
Even a bicycle goes too fast."
Paul Scott Mowrer

We always have to check out the turtles in the pond.

And a squirrel checked us out as we walked beneath his tree.

Our oldest son and his 5 year old son using up extra energy
after they had cycled the 5 Km around the lake.

Five and three year old brothers tackling the climbing wall.
What brave grandsons!

It was a glorious day!

Gardom Lake is such a peaceful place where God speaks to me through his display of magnificent nature.
