LIFE ON THE EDGE

Yesterday was another memory building day at one of our favourite places - GARDOM LAKE BIBLE CAMP. It was the annual Walk/Run/Cycle event and family fun day to raise funds for the camp and sponsorships for families who cannot afford to send their children to summer camp. It's always special to share this day with some of our family and friends.

Brothers, ( Seniors!)
trained and fit to begin the 70 Km bike route.

One our little families ready to walk and bike the 5 Km and 1o Km route. I was right behind them, striding with my walking poles.

Another son and his son off to bike 10 Km.

With a cheer everyone was on their way.

My oldest grandsons, cousins and buddies,
finish the 10 Km by bike.

Energy left to try the climbing wall.

Both boys will be back for Peewee camp in July.

Baby brother is just one cute spectator.

The high ropes course - balance and trust.

The ultimate challenge - the Zip Line.
He's thinking it over before scootching off the platform.

The youngest Zip line hero - my 4 year old grandson.

And then there was a daughter-in -law who wanted to face her fear of height and a mother-in-law who lost her mind and said she would join her and so here is yours truly, Trudy climbing 25 feet up a tree - what was I thinking? I have never been a ladder person! Getting up there was one thing and then I had to swivel around to sit down on the platform. Yikes!

All harnessed in and ready ????
Ignore the sound track as it was just the conversation beside the photographer.
Press the large arrow and then the play arrow in the bottom left corner.

LET GO AND TRUST
The rest of the story was 26 seconds of my life.
I still can't believe I did it!
