SAVOURING SUMMER

Today was a day to celebrate the lazy days of summer and the last day of homelessness. Tonight we got the keys to our new home and we took a quiet tour, trying to imagine our belongings filling the rooms and creating a welcome coziness.
But, back to the celebrating. We had decided to pack a small picnic lunch and visit a new estate winery that has recently sprung up in our OLD neighborhood. It was a lovely way to look back over our valley and say another goodbye. We had a delightful visit from a son and granddaughter who joined us for our tour of ANCIENT HILLS ESTATE WINERY.

She felt like a princess on an ancient settee admiring her image in a gilded mirror.

And while we sipped our Gewurtztraminer, the princess had a silver pitcher of icy water served in a goblet.

Goodbye beautiful valley
