MONTREAL, QUEBEC

Montreal was a 24 hour whirlwind. Arriving late on the train and surfacing to the terminal on street level we were shocked at the size and busyness of this grand junction for rail travel. It felt like being in the Vancouver airport.
With no time to waste after checking into the Best Western Europa, we booked a city bus tour which gave us a fantastic 3 hour overview of the city, narrated by our driver in both English and French.
I was fascinated by the contrast in architecture, both old and new side by side and often reflected in the modernity of glass.
