EARTH DAY

It was a good day getting our hands into the elemental stuff of our Earth - digging out two old Mugo Pines, chopping them up for garden waste recycling and planting some Boxwood and Barberry shrubs, and several grasses. Digging became quite a daunting task as we unearthed stubborn rocks and roots. Our bodies are tired and sore, our hands dry, but our hearts are glad and satisfied to see the little landscape area in our backyard neat and tidy at the end of the day. Even the quail seemed to nod his approval at the new improvements.

Not so daunting as your previous big yard. I love your quails that come to admire your garden.
