WELCOME SPRING

"The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another.
The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month."
 ~Henry Van Dyke

My plum chair is my cosy spot, the place where the sun falls upon me with its warm radiance. The lovely tea light holder, 'a just because' gift from a friend this week adds just that extra touch of cheer on this spring equinox. Like the quote suggests, the day may not fully feel like spring but we will welcome the days ahead that will be marked with  increasing warmth. And as I wait not only for more temperate days but also for renewed health following winter's nasty sinus cold, I will keep coming back to this place where the bouquets of flowers and the books I am reading change, but the sunlight that has been the same from the beginning of time will illuminate the now, this present moment.

SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDER
John Denver

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
If I had a day that I could give you, I'd give to you the day just like today.
If I had a song that I could sing for you, I'd sing a song to make you feel this way.

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
If I had a tale that I could tell you, I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile.
If I had a wish that I could wish for you, I'd make a wish for sunshine for all the while.

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high. Sunshine almost always:

Plum and yellow are so awesome together. May the sunshine lift you up and mend you physically and mentally. Good for your body, soul and spirit.
