SNICKERDOODLES REVISITED

It was six years ago, in the fall of 2008 that I began this blogging adventure, journaling events and capturing the beauty of the ordinary. The third post in that first week was titled 'Button Posies and Snickerdoodles', featuring my 3 year old granddaughter in all her sweetness as we crafted and baked together. This little girl is almost nine now and still loves to bake in my kitchen and so this week we revisited the Snickerdoodle baking experience. By the way, Miss K cooks a supper for her family on a weekly basis. Watch out Masterchef!

Snickerdoodles are sugar cookies rolled in cinnamon sugar and when baked have crackled tops. Where they got their name is a mystery, but just the mention of this whimsical name has family members licking their lips.

Miss K loved the photo shoot as part of the baking experience. The twinkle in her eyes above smudgy glasses always makes me smile.

Just like in the original post, after bath time and before bedtime, it was sampling time with a glass of ice cold milk, dipping allowed.

Your Miss K. is an adorable chef. The word snickerdoodles would make anyone giggle but to be able to bake and eat them is the best.

So sweet!! I love seeing the 'then and now' photos. She was such a cutie ... and still is! Happy memories are always made at Gramma's house!
