Moving right along on the Winzerexpress to visit Rudesheim, a town with a vibrant wine-growing heritage.
The Bromserhof which dates back to 1310 is the home of Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum. We were entertained by snippets of music while watching intricate movements in the ornate cabinets.

Drosselgasse is a very narrow 15th century cobbled street in Rudesheim. The 400 feet lane is dotted with quaint restaurants, cafes, wine bars, and little souvenir shops. It was busy and we had little time to stop to admire or take photos. |

We saw swans here and there along the rivers.
Miltenberg, a picturesque village on the Main river with early dates of 1237. The 15th century half timbered buildings surrounded us with the feeling of medieval Bavaria.
Gasthaus zum Reisen is one of Germany's oldest taverns from 1500AD . This newly renovated, spectacular building is also called the Giant's Head Inn.
Many buildings in Europe are decorated with images of the Holy Family. This one is unusual because it depicts Jesus as a young lad.

Wertheim Castle ruins date back to the 12th century if we only had time and energy to hike up and explore.

At the Glass Art Museum we had an exclusive glass blowing demonstration for the guests of the Emerald Sky ship. The museum had extravagant displays of antique luxury glass to every thing one could imagine from flora to fauna, ornaments, to glass beads all created through the creativity of glass blowing. As we left we were gifted with two glass hearts.
