One of my passions is photographing flowers, so it was inevitable that while on vacation that I kept my camera handy although it was a painful procedure with my broken wing. I do slow a walk down because there is another Kodak moment at every turn. Here are a few of my favourite pics.
BUTCHART GARDEN
Over 100 years ago young Jennie Butchart began her love of flower gardens with a package of Sweet Pea seeds and a rose bush. Today over 50 acres of world renown theme gardens display flower beds, shrubs, hedges, trees, ponds, fountains, and so much more to fill the visual sense with stunning vistas at every turn in the maze of pathways. It is impossible to capture it all on camera although most everyone tries, but rather one needs to appreciate the whole setting and hold the beauty with memories.

We stayed in the gardens till evening and after a delightful Italian Jazz concert wandered through the gardens again that were magically illuminated with romantic ambiance.

Coming home after two weeks vacation to my neglected flower garden was a little depressing but little by little I am tidying up the dead heads with one hand, and today I actually sat and enjoyed the late summer colours. I am not Jennie Butchart in my garden, neither Martha Stewart in my home, but I enjoy my little footprint on this planet that I am entrusted with and work at making it beautiful.

Hey we really don't know what Martha Stewart is in her home, maybe she is a slob. We see her on t.v. with her many many helpers that keep her looking good and in magazines where she has been photoshopped.
Your home is always welcoming your family and friends and that counts more than anything else.

I too can slow a walk down with my constant picture taking! There's always another flower to photograph. Love your pictures. Makes me want to take a trip to Butchart Gardens!
