JOY TO THE WORLD

Experiencing JOY in the midst of a busy season came packaged for me today in size 2 jeans with a well worn blanket and soother close at hand. The joy came soon after dawn as I listened to the muffled chatter as this sweet little grandson met the needs of the orphaned dolly with whom he had shared his cozy bed.

Peanut butter toast appeared to be as much a joyful experience as it was sustenance.

Just a little happy mischief trying to fill Grampa's boots.

Finally in his own boots we set out in the neighbourhood to check out the chirps of joy coming from high in the treetops ...

and were treated to the closeup visit of the Chickadees.

Enjoying the view from a different angle.

Trudging through crusty snow along an orchard fence we discovered forgotten apples of gold.

Oh the joy of sharing his delight in seeing the world with wonderment.

Joy to the World

Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
while fields and floods,
rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
